Hi Tara and Barney I watched this gem the other day :

Abducted in Plain Sight

I know that many of us true crime buffs are really into murders specifically, and while this story does contain a death, which I will not reveal due to the spoiler factor, it is more a story that starts with child molestation and webs into a whole lot more shit.

My husband chose this movie to ‘Netflix and chill’ and while I didn’t expect much, there were times that my mouth was agape and that we actually had to rewind to make sure that was what they said.

The baseline ineptness of the parents is what first gets you, but then you get into the interesting collaboration of families, authorities and even a psychiatrist.

I have never in my life heard a story that was more heartbreaking, disgusting, interesting and just plain weird. The basic line is that there is am 11 year old girl living in the suburban United States that is abducted by a close friend of her parents – TWICE! The details of how her parents dealt with it are unbelievable and the details of how he got away with it are even more so. This story has sex, drugs, aliens, beaches, horses and just about anything else you may be looking for in a true crime documentary.
