Futoshi Matsunaga is a Japanese con artist, rapist and serial killer. Between 1996 and 1998 he tortured and murdered at least seven people, including two children. His accomplice, was Junko Ogata, a woman he was in an abusive relationship with. Matsunaga’s crimes were so heinous that most media in Japan were not willing to report the details.

Axe murderer Jose Omonte-Extrada received one of South Australia’s longest sentences for the horrific murders of Jasinta-Leigh Fullerton and Rebecca Wild in 2012. What drove this 19 year old man to commit such violent crimes?
