On December 1st, 1955, German born Karl Kast equipped himself with a revolver, more than 100 rounds of .38 calibre ammunition, a box of detonators and large leather satchel full of home-made pipe bombs. Karl, with murder on his mind, then walked into a Doctor’s Surgery in Brisbane, Australia. Within six and half minutes, three doctors were shot and a would be hero, who tried to intervene, had his hand blown off.
